Vacant Property Showing Instructions
Vacant With Lockbox
The majority of our vacant properties have self-service lock boxes on them. These boxes allow you to view properties any day of the week from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. In order to obtain a code to open the box and get the key, go to our list of available rentals, find the property you wish to view and click the green “Schedule a Showing” button. From there, you’ll be prompted to provide the system with a bit of information (a few questions about your housing needs and a picture of a valid photo ID) and you will be sent a code via email or text for the lockbox. This code is good for one hour. Please note that you will be asked to provide credit card information – this is for identity verification purposes only. Your card will not be charged and Sweyer Property Management will not have access to or retain any of your card information.
Vacant Without Lockbox
For the vacant properties without lock boxes on them you can follow the same process as above for your search and to schedule an appointment and once you’ve provided your information, you’ll receive instructions to come by one of our offices to check out a key. The Wilmington office is open 9 AM – 5 PM Monday-Saturday and the Hampstead office is open 9AM – 5 PM Monday – Friday. Keys must be returned by 4:30 on weekdays in both offices and 2:30 on Saturday in the Wilmington office.

For properties that are currently occupied, furnished or not able to be self-toured for another reason, you may go to our rental list, find the property and click the green “Schedule a Showing” button. From there, you’ll be asked to provide a bit of information (a few questions about your housing needs as well as a photo of your valid ID) and you’ll be given options of days and times to schedule an agent-accompanied showing. The system will allow you to schedule appointments up to seven days in advance.
